What is the virtual reality & how it’s work?

What is the Virtual reality?

Do you know what is the virtual reality? Maybe you want to go to the bottom of the sea. Wanting to see the colorful fish, the beautiful plants, wanting to know what’s under the sea?

There are many more known, unknown, unseen things you want to enjoy in your own body.  Again, you may want to visit the land of the moon, want to know how to see space?  Think about how it feels to fly on the back of an eagle?  I’m no longer surprised to hear that. Wondering how this is possible?  Yes, it is possible. Let’s learn more about this topic and be smarter.

You can imagine yourself as a sea diver.  How a swarm of fish is coming and touching you.  How many unseen things are rolling in front of your eyes.  You are releasing the sea fish with your own hands.  Like a diver floating in the depths of the ocean from one side to the other.

Is that even possible!  Aren’t you dreaming?

Just a few lines down it feels like you’ve gone to the middle of the ocean.  Then suppose you have come close to virtual reality.  This is a tool that can give you the same feeling as reality.  Through virtual reality, you can accept the subject matter of the imagination as truth.

From the depths of the ocean to the mysteries of space, everything will be at your fingertips.  In the blink of an eye, you will be swept away from one world to another.

Simply said, virtual reality or fictional reality is not reality in the traditional sense, but rather science-based imagination that evokes the consciousness of reality.

Now let’s find out

What is the virtual reality?

(Virtual Reality) is a term that combines the phrases virtual and reality. Virtual refers to “in front of,” while reality refers to “reality” (truth). As a result, it refers to “the reality that lies ahead.” VR is a computer-controlled virtual world in which the user has the same feelings, sights, and sensations as they would in real life. It is possible to wander in the depths of the Pacific Ocean with the wings of imagination, to walk from the moon or Mars, and even to chase the terrible creatures of the Amazon forest.

While in fictional reality, the individual wanders into imaginary worlds like in reality.  When using VR, a kind of environment is created which is a combination of completely artificial and imaginary scenes. When a person enters the virtual world, he sees the scene, the world, the situation, and everything he sees as true.  There he remains immersed until he returns to the outside world.

In fact, when you are in virtual reality, you can understand for yourself that what you are seeing is imaginary.  Even after that, you will enjoy this matter in an exciting way. In a real sense, VR takes you completely into the 3D and 5D worlds. The utilization of three-dimensional pictures in virtual reality allows for the completion of previously impossible tasks.

How did this begin?

Fictional reality is in that position today.  The position of VR was not like that long ago.  Not so much practice, the history of virtual reality is more than one and a half years old, but not everyone knew about it.

The term VR was first used by the French poet and playwright Antonin Archived. In 1838, he wrote The Theater, a play, in which he used the phrase VR.

The concept of fictional reality is also present. In terms, VR is also used in Damien Brodrick’s science fiction novel The Judas Mandala. In 1971, Morton Heilig introduced virtual reality through the invention of a device called the Sensor Simulator but did not use any computer programs or software. Then you can understand the difference between today’s technology.

By the 1980s, the term had become commonplace.  This is the beginning of modern reality.

Hacker Lenier, founder of the Visual program lab (VPL), has been doing extensive research on it since 1984.  Which gave the gift of today’s VR technology.

How many types of virtual reality and what are they?

It has five components, These are transforming the environment, circumstances, ideas, and so on around us into a fantasy world.

  • Fully-immersive
  • Semi-immersive
  • Non-immersive
  • Augmented Reality
  • Collaborative VR
  • Fully-immersive

Gaining a completely realistic experience while in virtual reality, which is completely different from the natural world. The experience has been designed to be fully immersive in order to create a sense of true fantasy.

Only in the presence of VR will everything you see, whatever you do, seem to be physically and mentally true.  This is the virtual world where it is possible to hear the roar of a tiger face to face, chase a whale deep in the ocean, or fly on the back of an eagle in full-immersive VR.

Semi-immersive virtual reality

Semi-immersive is a combination of fully immersive and non-immersive fictional reality. In semi-immersive, you can get lost in the virtual world through a computer screen or VR box, or headset.  Through visual experience, you can enjoy semi-immersive virtual reality.  You can control your movement by using the mouse on the computer.

Non-immersive

The virtual reality in which the characters and activities are controlled by the software is called non-immersive. For example video games, graphics, animation, etc. The feature of non-immersive VR is that you can enjoy everything here but stay directly connected to the environment of the virtual world.

Augmented Reality

Suppose you are looking at different rooms of your office or home on your mobile.  There you can add any animal or doll as a cartoon character.  No matter which room you enter, you will notice the presence of that cartoon character.  But in reality that cartoon character will not exist.  This is Augmented Reality.  Augmented Reality is widely used in many TV serials nowadays.

Especially when you go to a furniture store to buy a piece of furniture, you can arrange the furniture in the house through Augmented Reality before you bring it home.

Collaborative VR

You must have heard of the popular game “PUBG”.  Here multiple players from different places can participate at the same time.  You can enter a modern virtual reality with others while playing “PUBG” games.  Here players can control the gaming characters as they wish.  In addition to playing games, you can talk and listen to each other through your “Headset”, Microphone, and chat again.  As a projected virtual character in Collaborative VR, we can stay connected to the virtual world.

What are the elements of virtual reality?

Also, several elements are needed to fully enjoy that. These elements are employed to construct artificial settings. When a variety of gadgets, computer programs, and software are used to control you.

Elements of virtual reality

Let’s start with basics of the virtual reality

Head Mounted Display (HMD)

  • A full-body suit
  • Reality engine
  • High-quality audio system
  • Data Glove
  • Different types of sensors
  • Various simulation, modeling, and graphics software.

In addition, creating a virtual reality requires an effect, reality simulator, application, and geometry.  Need to have a little idea about these.

Effector

An effector is a special type of interface device.  This device can be used to connect to the artificial environment of virtual reality.

For example HDM, Data Glove, Body Suit, etc.

Reality simulator

A reality simulator is a type of hardware that sends sensitive information to the effect.  Transducers, various high-quality sensors, reality engines, HD video, and audio systems are part of the reality simulator.

Application

Although artificial intelligence is created artificially, there is a need for three-dimensional simulation to feel like reality.  Simulation software has maintained the environment and relevance of virtual reality. Here is the list of different types of applications for VR.

Geometry

In VR technology, geometry is information about the external properties of various objects in an artificial environment.  In virtual reality, three-dimensional models using to present the perfect result. Max, Maya, Autodesk, etc software is used for rendering.

After completing all of these processes, a VR user is provided with an artificial genuine experience that is free of physical risk or danger.

In conclusion of the virtual reality

Virtual plus Reality both combine and created a new world called virtual reality. It is one of the most trending topics in the digital world at this time, and this industry is going to reach more and more day by day. In this article, I was trying to cover the basic concept. I hope you understood what is the virtual reality how it’s works and the different types of it.

We will discuss this in the next post of this lecture:

  • Virtual reality software?
  • What are the uses of VR?
  • Also, we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence.

I have tried as much as possible to give accurate information about this topic.  I will actually consider myself lucky for your benefit. So far today. BlogAcademy is covering tech-related topics, and also talks about the important topic of lifestyle.  If you have any suggestions on Virtual Reality, don’t forget to let us know in the comments below.
